Tip of the week!! When you have your roof replaced ask your contractor to use lead boots on your roof penetrations and copper flashing. You will be glad you did because these products will last a lifetime and not need to be replaced every-time you re-roof your home.Gutters will also increase the protection of your home by protecting the exterior siding or brick. Making sure your attic is properly ventilated will also increase the life of your roof especially if your roof is a dark color. Edgewater recommends a metal  energy star light color roof to reflect the heat and save you money.
